On a cold November night, the Demons joined together to celebrate the hard work and dedication of their members throughout the 2017 season. The drinks, tears and kind words were flowing as each award winner was recognized for their contributions to a successful season.
Special recognition goes to our 2017 Best and Fairest winners Ryan Hayes (left)and Laura Trafford (right).
Ryan started the season off on the ball; he used his strength around the ground to shed would be tacklers and take contested marks wherever he went. Towards the end of the season, he moved into the forward line and smashed goals; a massive right foot kicked him into the top ten league goal kickers. Congratulations Mr. Hayes.
Laura demonstrated pace, tenacity and skill throughout the 2017 season. Playing on-ball, Laura used her fantastic pace to hit 50/50 contests, come away with the ball and push it forward. Her most memorable moments were produced through sheer determination and tenacity as she tracked down her opponents and laid fearsome tackles. Congratulations Ms. Trafford.
