Formed in 1990, the Hamilton Wildcats will be celebrating their 30th year in the OAFL when we take to the field in 2020. A member Club of the Ontario Australian Football League (OAFL), the Wildcats compete against other Australian Rules Football clubs in Southern Ontario.
In the face of increasingly tough competition, the Hamilton Wildcats has proved its mettle in the last 30 years. In season 1995, the club demonstrated the game of Australian Rules Football in front of a crowd of 21,000 during a half-time break of a CFL match. 2019 saw a competitive year for the Wildcats as the women’s team won the Club's first Grand Final (vs Etobicoke Roos) and the men’s team finished 2nd after bowing out to the Ottawa Swans in the Grand Final. In 2020, Hamilton players will go on to represent the Canadian Football teams, Northwind and Northern Lights, and play in the International Cup held in Australia.
As a Club that values community and team spirit, the Wildcats holds several annual events including the Sponsor’s and Family Appreciation Day, the "Rookie and Jumper Presentation Night", Alumni Night in support of Cancer Research, and the Final Awards Night. It is an active contributor to local food-banks in the Hamilton region.
There are a number of sponsorship tiers and options currently available for the 2020 season. If you have any questions regarding sponsorship packages and how to go about becoming an active supportive member of the club please contact Club President Nick Liang at president@wildcatsafc.com
