Northern Bobcats June Newsletter

 

Training:

• Bobcats training is held every Monday night between 4.30pm & 5.00pm for U9 & U11. And 5.00pm & 6.00pm for U12 & U14, at Covenant College, Creamery Road, Bell Post Hill. With parking at WH Myers Reserve (behind the Gym). Please don’t park in the car park in front of the gym this is reserved for the Covenant College staff.  Training will cost $2 a week or $10 for a school term & this will be taken off your weekly game fee. Training will to be continued to be ran by our director of coaching Big V Stingray player Mark “Tracka”

Level “O” Coaches Course:

Would you like to know?

• What is the coaches role
• Court-time distribution and how to substitute players
• Time-outs – when and what are they for
• How to ensure fair play and sharing of the ball is evident
• How to play defence (find your players, guard your player and don’t just chase the ball)
• How to hold a training session
• Passing techniques, shooting techniques.

Well the Corio Bay Basketball Association (CBBA) is running a Level “O” coaches course. It is a 2 week basic course to be held at Covenant College Gym on Monday 17 June & 24 June, 6.30 – 8.00pm.Please contact me if you are interested on 0403 028 301

CBBA registrations are due:

Your CBBA player registration of $55 due after your 4^th game or if you are a continuing player they were due on the 31/03/2013. This can be done on the Corio Bay Basketball web site or in person at GBNC.

Committee Meeting:

We are also holding a committee meeting on Wednesday 12^th June at 7:30pm at GBNC. We invite all interested parents/guardians to attend & help us make the Northern Bobcats bigger & better and therefore your basketball experience the finest it can be.

Bobbies Hoddies:

Please make sure that your order form & $20 deposit are in the Bobbies locker  ASAP.
