LUKE COTCHETT. 25 year old Captain of Port Melbourne is a class act. At 180cm he is a strong onballer who goes forward and kicks goals. His sparkling personality and talent will make a big impact.
SHANE FYFE 26 year old Country Football legend is from Sale where after four years of Captaincy and many B&F Awards he was selected in their team of the Century. He will play midfield and half back. Another fantastic personality, who will again add to the character of the Senior team.
Don’t forget we also have the return of two of our superstars who did not play in 2008. NATHAN HENLEY and DEAN STEPHEN. “Stevo” will be back home from overseas on the 12th December.
We also understand 2007 Premiership player ALISTER WYLIE will be back home from WA also. His tenacious attack on the ball will be very handy.
Other good news is that star full forward Matt Greig has committed to the 2009 Season, contrary to some rumours that have him a various other Clubs. Ryan Webster has had his shoulder repaired and will be fighting fit, as will the Captain Ryan Mullet who had to have more surgery after the Grand Final to further repair his damaged collar bone. His personal effort to even play in the Grand Final was quite incredible.
