Training has picked up a notch over the last three weeks. We are staring to get around 30 at training. Cam Bain ( former Vermont Multi Premiership Player) is training like a twenty year old and will be a great asset to our side.
New comer to the game Bill Didonna has also taken up the task of how to play football and has improved every week. Great to see Bill that this is what the vets is all about.
Co-Captains announced for the year will be John Verde and Craig Jones with Vice Captain Brett Phillips.
Our first game is only 10 sleeps away at Kilsyth. It would be great to see some support there on the day.
Thankyou to Julie Hunter and Tracey Lindon for coming up on Wed and looking after our old bodies. Tracey has stepped up to be our main trainer and will be great in keeping the grumpy old men in line as they wait for some soothing assistance.
We also have a Sponsor in local Physiotherapist “Back in Motion”, who will be donating a relaxing Massage to the best player each match. They are located at 9a 348 Mountain Highway, Wantirna. Just down the road from the Wantirna Hill Club.
We are all very excited about starting the year with Vermont and thank the committee for their support at present. We are working hard on the track and I am sure we will bring some great results back to the club.
The vets have booked a table for the Balwyn home game on Sat 3rd May If anybody is interested in a ticket call “Bullet” on 0408 911 927
Regards,
Paul Clear
