As most of us are aware the Mitcham Football Club have announced Paul Nigro as the senior coach for season 2008. After an extensive interview process Paul was offered the job on a two year deal. Paul spent 2007 at the North Melbourne Football Club in a development and programming role under Shane Tierney. This role in the inner sanctum at an AFL club has been of great benefit to Paul, adding quality football knowledge and professionalism to his own individual experience. Paul spent 2006 as an assistant coach to Brett Chandler at the Doncaster F.C in division 2. Prior to this he was senior coach at Northcote Park in division one of the Yarra League. Paul was also senior coach at Bulleen Templestowe, the club he originally played for.
The club will be holding a meet the coach night on Monday 12th November, 7pm at the club. We ask that all players, past players, sponsors and supporters come along and show their support to Paul and his new staff. Paul has strong plans to steer our club back too where we belong and to create a winning culture once again. After two very dissapointing seasons and consecutive relegations, it is important that everyone at the club sticks together, too make sure our club returns to being one of the power house clubs in the EFL.
We look forward to seeing you all on the 12th.
M.F.C Committee.
