The South Croydon Football Club Coterie group ‘The Mudlarks’ has kindly made the offer to contribute up to $20,000 towards the redevelopment of the Cheong Park clubrooms.
They will provide an immediate contribution of $10,000, with an additional $10,000 to be available should it be required to finalise the fitout.
This is a tremendous offer and brings us close to the raising the funds required to finish off the Kitchen and Bar fitout and the required AV equipment.
Club President, Steve Duke said “We cannot thank The Mudlarks enough for their ongoing support of the Football Club, but now also for supporting the wider Sth Croydon community with their contribution to the new rooms which will not only be used by both the Football and Cricket clubs, but by other community organisations as well."
Mudlarks co-ordinator Paul ‘Tubby’ Lewis said "It gives the Mudlark members a great deal of pleasure to donate these funds to assist with fit out of the pavilion. Even though our charter is to use funds raised to recruit new players to SCFC we are in position to donate this money due to ongoing financial commitment and hard work by our members’ past & present and we strongly believe this new development once completed will benefit the community as a whole".
