Hi Guys,
After the weekend's game heaps of people asked me about Relay For Life the cancer fundraiser I am doing later this year.
As most of you know I am trying to run/walk this year 100 km's in 18 hours this year. (last year 80 km's in 13hrs)
I need as much help and support I can from people donating to the team or joining the team.
My main goal is for my team to raise money for Cancer. Even though I have set myself a personal goal for running/walking it's not about me, it's about the team.
For those who would like to join the team we will take as many people as we can get.
This is a family event so bring the kids down and camp the night it's heaps of fun and a great cause.
Have a look at the link below to join the team or donate or give me a call at any time to discuss.
1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85. Each dollar you raise can make a difference in helping fund the Cancer Council’s research, prevention, education and support services.
Relay For Life began in Australia in 1999 when the Victorian town of Murrumbeena raised over $75,000 for the Council Cancel.
Relay For Life is now in every state and territory and raised over 14 million each year for the fight against cancer.
The relay is an 18 hour event which starts at 4pm and ends at 10am the next morning.
The relay is a team based event, each team is responsible for carrying a batten non stop around a track for the duration of the event. Just like Cancer the non stop carrying of the batten symbolises the non stop fight against cancer. Each team is made up of friends, family, work colleagues and anyone you now touched by cancer.
