The Shinboner of the Century, North Melbourne champion Glenn Archer, is pulling on the boots for our Vets side on Saturday the 18th of June in support of the charity HeartKids.
Archer is passionate about grassroots footy and says the decision to have a run with the South Croydon Vets was easy - “The clubs support of the HeartKids charity through this twilight game is sensational.....I’m really looking forward to having a kick with the boys whilst raising some funds for such an important cause"
Arch is an ambassador for HeartKids, and on July 17 this year is running a half marathon in the Run Melbourne event to raise funds for the cause. The South Croydon Vets have decided that 100% of funds raised by them will go to sponsor Arch's run for the HeartKids charity.
Direct online donations can also be made here: http://runmelbourne.everydayhero.com.au/glenn_archer
The match, which also sees the teams play for the Gappa Cup, commences at 5pm, Saturday June 18 at Pinks Reserve, Kilsyth.
Head down after the seniors game to cheer the old blokes along and see the Shinboner of the Century in Doggies colours in support of a great cause. There is a strong rumour circulating that you might also witness yet another display of Doggie spirit in action with a come back from a young(ish) bloke who's return to the field will almost be as big as his hair!
