Age Group Cut Offs for 2020

Miniball U8	Tues arvo comp/training combined	Under 8 Mini-ball will be held on Tuesdays between 4.15pm-6.15pm with the emphasis on skills development. This is suitable for children in year 2 at school. These children will turn 8 after 30th June 2020. Some younger children can join this program if they show adequate ball skills.
Miniball U10	Under the age of 10 as at 30/6/20	Divisions based on age and ability. Mixed teams allowed.
U10 (normal rules)	Under the age of 10 as at 30/6/20	Will start with one division. Perry Lakes may expand this to two divisions during the review process, but this will be subject to the player’s readiness to adapt to full rules.
U12	Under the age of 12 as at 30/6/20	Divisions based on age and ability
U14	Under the age of 14 as at 30/6/20	Divisions based on ability
U16	Under the age of 16 as at 30/06/20	Divisions based on ability
U18	Under the age of 18 as at 30/6/20	Divisions based on ability

We have teams playing in this competition from 8 years and U10 (Miniball); U10 (full basketball rules); U12; U14; U16; U18; Girls U14 & U16 play on Friday evenings along with our Miniball Girls teams. Our U12 Girls play after 2 pm on Saturday to enable them to play netball as well. Some of our other MB & U12 teams are rotated through Friday nights. Other ages and boys all play on Saturdays from 8am through to 6 pm.  Most games are played at the Bendat Basketball Centre 201 Underwood Avenue FLOREAT with some overflow games at Lords Rrecreation Centre 5 Wembley Court SUBIACO. Games are generally played on the first Saturday of School holidays but not the middle Friday/Saturday or the last Friday/Saturday of school holidays.

 Under 8 MINIBALL SKILL SESSIONS - Tuesday afternoons

These sessions are open to players who are 7 years of age and not turning 8 until after 30th June 2020 and are held each Tuesday between 4.15pm and 6.15pm (2 time slots).

They comprise a 50 minute time slot made up of skills & drills , supervised by our SBL imports and coaches from the Junior Clubs, concluding with a short game.
