Last
Saturday we hosted Encounter Bay. Unfortunately, the crowd was small
but entertained with some good games of football. We had a great day
starting with a good win by the under 14’s which has put them back
into 5th spot.
The
under 17’s played a good team game for a comfortable win. The signs
are good for this group as their future looks promising. The Reserves
had a tough game that unfortunately got a little out of hand late in
the last quarter. However, it showed that under pressure they can
still win hard games which is just what we need going into the
finals.
The
‘A’ grade also had a hard fought game in which everyone stood up
and showed that we will not be intimidated. A late night highlight
was Cam Hockey having an ice bath but that is another story.
I
would like to thank everyone who has assisted in the canteen from the
under 14’s and under 17’s players to parents and family members.
It is greatly appreciated and relieves pressure on everyone. The old
saying of “Many hands make light work” is very true, once again
thank you.
The
Sponsors day went well with a good turnout of sponsors. I thank
everyone who helped prepare the day with food and drinks. The
“Sponsors Television” was well received by all who attended.
