It was a good day for the senior teams with both ‘A’ grade and Reserves having good wins against Myponga. Unfortunately the 14’s and 17’s didn’t win but you have to remember that this is your learning years. I look forward to watching you ALL progress to play senior football for the McLaren Eagles.
Many of you are aware that we have been looking at improving our club rooms for years. I spoke to a consultant late last year and it became apparent that if we continued to go alone we would find it difficult to get financial assistance from Federal, State and Local government agencies. It was suggested we would have a better chance by showing an overall commitment to the greater McLaren community.
As a result I have organised meetings to include the cricket, netball, tennis and bocce clubs as we meet with members of the Council. To date we have formalised a “Strategic plan” but there is a lot of work to do and I ask for your patience.
Congratulations to our club representatives selected in the Association teams who played at Strathalbyn.
Teas will resume on Thursday 17th of June prior to our home match against Strathalbyn.
C’mon Eagles.
