Woori's 1000th Game
Woori played their 1000th game against Wandin on the 22 July 2017. Many thanks to Danny Ryan for being the MC for the day. Danny spent many hours doing all the hard work editing photos and making great footage of the years gone. It was fantastic to see 2 of the last remaining 3 of the 1947 grand final team (Wally Robertson and Albert (Sel) Rowe) fly onto the ground via helicopter. Unfortunatly Mac Wilson was unwell and unable to attend the celerbrations, we wish Mac all the best. Both Wally and Sel said Mac Wilson was the best player of the team. Also flown in was Trevor Selby all time great of the club playing over 400 games, best and fairest, and a Premership player in the 80's. Interiews and footage of the 1987 Seniors & Unders Premership. 1997 Reserves and the 2007 Netball Premier team. Thanks also to Danny Hyndman for doing another one on one interview with another of the clubs greatest player Paul Wolff.
Thank you to Wandin for the applause and guard of honor for our past premiership players we were glad you were able to be a part of this history making day.
The Woori Yallock Committee hope you all had a great day and hope to see you all again in the near future.
