Can Woori Yallock stay out in front of Wandin or is it the Bulldogs’ turn?
INTRIGUING match ups across the ground, a team fresh from the week off, the other riding a wave of confidence and momentum. Saturday’s Yarra Valley Mountain District Football League Division 1 grand final has it all.
Woori Yallock is out to win a third straight flag and, in doing so, would be the first team to achieve the feat since the powerhouse Upwey Tecoma sides of 1989, 1990 and 1991. Woori previously won back-to-back titles in 1970/71 and 1973/74
Wandin has taken the scenic route to the finale after losing to Woori in the second-semi final and is in good nick after an emphatic 20-goal win over Mount Evelyn in last weekend’s preliminary final. Victory would give the Dogs their first flag since 2002.
