West Gambier Football Club was successful in gaining a grant to upgrade the clubrooms Airconditioning and associated power supply.
The Grant was part of the Community Energy Efficiency Program, which supplies grants to organisations that can prove a decrease in energy use will result from equipment upgrades. In our case, the new reverse cycle airconditioners we are putting in are more efficient than the water evaporative coolers and fan driven heaters we have had in the past. Upgrading the switchboard will also reduce energy usage, as it won’t be under load as often because of increased capacity.
Work on the new switchboard and airconditioners will commence shortly with an expected completion by early December of this year. Work will be undertaken by our sponsors Gordon Refrigeration, Gabriels Electrical contractors and MG Plasterers.
