COVID 19 has impacted us all and will continue to influence the way we go about our daily lives and interact with others for some time to come. Implimenting rules and practices to stop the spread and ensure the safety and wellbeing of ourselves and those around us is extremely important. There is no room for complacency.
In order for us to recommence our great game there is a huge level of responsibility and work placed upon the West Gambier Football Club and it's officials to ensure SANFL Return to Play requirements are met and implemented. Failure to adopt and abide by these requirements could result in the opportunity to train and take part in competion not only being taken away from us, we could also face penalties and fines (at an individual and club level). Part of this responsibility extends to players, members, players parents and visitors. We are not only responsible for the safety and wellbing of ourselves, but also others around us.
To help West Gambier Football Club abide by the SANFL Return to Play rules and regulations and support the Club official COVID Safe Officer (President Shane "Fridge" Giddings), it is important that all players, members, officials, players parents and visitors understand the requirements and their roles in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all.
SANFL Return to Play decisions and requirments are constantly changing and being updated in line with AFL, State & Federal Government positions on COVID 19 restrictions. This information is regulary being updated on the SANFL Return to Play webpage as the situation changes. The webpage contains a significant amount of information including checklists, protocols, educational tools and other resources relating to requirements and responsibilities of the Football Clubs, club officials, players and players parents. Please click on this SANFL Return to Play link to access and make sure you read and understand your responsibilities in keeping everyone safe.
