West Gambier Football Club is a founding member of the Western Border Football League comprising clubs from South-East South Australia and Western Victoria.

West Gambier Football Club fields five sides in the Western Border Football League; Seniors, Reseves, Under 17.5, Under 15 and Under 13 sides.
West Gambier also fields teams in the local junior competition, Western Border Junior Football League. This competition comprises teams from the South Australian contingent of teams in the WBFL. The competition grades are three divisions of Under 12. West Gambier fields up to 5 sides comprising of youngsters from 8 to under 12 years of age as at 1st Jan of competition year.
West Gambier Football Club plays it's home games at Malseed Park, a facility built specifically for the club by members in 1974. The facility has an oval which has hosted AFL pre-season games, has a well appointed, licensed clubrooms with full viewing of the playing field from an elevated position.
The player facilities are among the league’s best with well sized and carpeted changerooms, medical and rub-down room and well appointed gymnasium all housed directly below the clubrooms and with tunnelled access to playing field.
The club is also associated with the West Gambier Netball Club which competes in the WBNA. The football and netball clubs play competition on the same day and at the same location during the season. The West Gambier Cricket Club also shares the facilities during the summer months.
