The Next Step - Victorian Netball League
The VNL has evolved from the previous Victorian State League, and is an exciting competition offering a professional level of state netball both on and off the court.
The VNL consists of three divisions of competition commencing at 19&Under, into Division One, then the pinnacle of the league is the Championship Division.
The VNL provides a pathway for Victorian players into the Melbourne Vixens and Victorian Fury teams. Vixens players who are not participating regularly in ANZ Championship matches will play within the VNL Competition, in the Championship Division.
All Victorian Fury players participate in the VNL Championship Division.
The VNL also provides a platform for players to be selected into the Australian Institute of Sport Netball program and also Victorian State Teams - 17&U, 19&U and 21&U.
Almost all 21&U and 19&U players will be regularly participating in the VNL Competition, additionally many of the 17&Under players are also part of the VNL competition structure.
