If you become a Quad/Para the cover is $1,000,000 per player, for all players Junior and Senior.
The Capital Benefits Cover is $250,000 for Senior Players and $50,000 for players who are under 18 years old.
You are not covered for
Medicare Expenses
None of the insurance cover will cover expenses that come under Medicare, including the gap above the Medicare reimbursement. This includes Doctors Fees, Surgeon’s Fees, Anaesthetist, Fees x-rays and Public Hospital Costs. MRI Scans if claimable through Medicare. MRI’s will be claimable if the provider is not registered with Medicare.
The thing to remember is if it is under the Medicare scheme it is not covered by the Insurance, that is why Private Hospital Accommodation is covered not Public.
Loss of Income Cover
It is imperative that any player who is working looks at income protection cover themselves, this can be done in your super fund at a very affordable rate.

Ambulance cover Private Health Cover
If you claim under the player insurance you do not have to claim under your Ambulance or Private Health Cover unless it is to your advantage, so if the Ambulance trip is going to use up the Max Payment per claim then it would be better to claim under the ambulance cover and leave the player insurance claim to cover the Hospital.
