A CUPPA AND QUICK CHAT WITH ANN HOLLOWAY
POSITION AT AFNC: Past President
YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THIS POSITION: Meeting people and chatting to everybody.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED WITH AFNC: Roughly 15 years, started out just coming along to the games to watch the kids play, progressing onto the committee, then Treasurer and eventually taking on the top role.
WHICH AFL TEAM DO YOU SUPPORT: Geelong of course, have done all my life.
FAMILY STATUS: I have been happily married to Mick for 31 years, in that time we have had 5 children, 4 boys and 1 girl. We have also lucky to have picked up Watto along the way. We have 4 beautiful grandchildren to spoil.
WHERE DID YOU MEET YOUR HUSBAND MICK: As a 14 year old at my best friend, Wendy Smith's house, Mick was the older brother and it was love at first sight.
MOST EMBARRESSING MOMENT: I was shopping one day at the Warrnambool Co-op when I heard a young child nagging his mother for a new bag. Thinking I recognized the lady from the back I tapped her on the shoulder and told her to stop being such an old witch and buy the child what he wanted. O Boy! when she turned around was I surprised when I didn't have a clue who she was. I couldn't get out of the shop and into the car quick enough.
PROUDEST MOMENT: Definitely watching my kids grow up and turn into fine young people.
WHAT REALLY ANNOYS YOU: Not being able to move around freely over the past eight weeks, very frustrating.
WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY: Other happy people.
MOST WORRYING MOMENT: Being laid up in hospital when the Werribee football club were being entertained at my home, fortunately I was worrying over nothing.
FAVORITE FOOD: Crayfish, any seafood really, washed down with a cold beer.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS: Dancing with Pads at his 50th birthday
