After the merge in 1976 the Bombers’ first couple of decades were undistinguished, but during the late 1990s they finally began to emerge as a force. The 1999 season brought breakthrough flags for both the seniors and the reserves, with the seniors subsequently added further premierships in 2001 and 2003. With the exception of a disappointing 2007 season the seniors have continued to perform strongly in recent years, getting as far as the grand final in both 2005 and 2008. The performances of the club’s other grades have been more variable, although the reserves came close to a flag in 2004, losing a hard fought grand final to Mitta United by 5 points.
