Peter Anson - 2010 President

Peter Anson joined the Heathmere Football Netball Club in 2002 through the involvement of other family members with his daughter playing Netball and Son in law playing football.

Peter held the position of President in 2005/2006 and 2006/2007 and now again in 2010 after taking on the Junior Vice President role.

He has never played in the Black & White but have been a keen Collingwood supporter for years, so it was only natural to go to Heathmere .

Peter feels Heathmere is a great Club with a good old family values and a strong Family environment. Tthere are a large number of future Footballers and Netballers within the club today which augers well for the future in years to come.

He has thoroughly enjoyed his time to date at the âMeresâ and looks forward to many more .

Nikki Hudson - Club & Netball Secretary

Nikki Hudson returned to Portland from Albany, WA, 8 years ago and was immediately drawn to the Heathmere Football Club due to family and friends.

Nikki has played A Grade netball 5 out of her 7 years at the club taking time off to have her son Jayden in 2007 and daughter Ashlee in 2009.

Nikki joined the Heathmere Committee 4 years ago as Club Secretary and Netball Secretary and enjoys working closely with other committee members, social members and players alike to ensure the continued success of the club.

She hopes for another excellent year for Meres with many more to come!!!

Tam Deane - Treasurer

Tammy Deane has been a part of the Heathmere Fottball Netball Club for an incredible 18 years and was on the social committee for five of those early years. Totalling 12 years on and off the comittee 4 of which as treasurer.

Her largest project to date was the new playground. Tammy met Heath at the club and fell happily in love and now have 2 future Heathmere Footballers to continue the third generation of Deane's to play for our wonderful club. Zac is already playing for the Heathmere under 12's.

Tam has played over 150 games of netball for the club and was awarded Life Membership in 2008.

Roger Middleton - Football Delegate

Roger Middleton has been associated with the Heathmere Football Club for a long time and is known around the club as Big Rog, Middo, Hey You and others we just can't mention!!

Roger has been a part of the Heathmere Committee more often than not and knows the running of the club extremely well.....especially the social dos.

He first took to the oval for Meres in 1996 and has played both Seniors and Reserves....and when possible still dons the black and white on a Saturday.

Roger readily admite his biggest like is a cold beer in the change rooms after a game. And his dislike....missing a cold beer in the change rooms after the game!!!!

And in 2009 Roger became a very doting parent alongside his partner Deb to beautiful Stella!!

Steph Carter - Netball Co-ordinator & A Grade Coach

Steph Carter is a prep teacher, working at Bundarra Primary School in Portland.

Steph has been playing netball for the HFNC for over 11yrs, having taken 3 years off while studying in Ballarat.

She started playing U/15's with the club, moving her way into B grade for a season and then playing A grade since then.

Steph has played 7 seasons of A grade at the club, recently taking on the coaching role.

Before coaching A grade she coached both B grade and u/15's.

Steph and husband Brodie are now the proud parents of gorgeous Judd!!

Alicia Mesley - B Grade & Under 17 Coach

Alicia Mesley is an excellent asset to the Heathmere Football Netball Club and is proudly coaching our B Grade side and Under 17 side this year.

Alicia played a quarter of netball for A Grade in 2008 before badly injuring her knee but is now only weeks away from stepping back into our competitive teams.

Alicia came back out to Heathmere after being away from Portland for 10 years. She has two small children and the family atmosphere at Heathmere was a big draw card for her.

Alicia is looking forward to another great season at a great club!!
