Wow what an exciting weekend of netball. The impressive win from the Under 15's had the entire club well and truly on their toes. The girls picked up momentum and fought to the end to win by 3 goals. Fantastic defence from Jessica Sutton helped seal the game.
A smart start to the game saw A Grade win against a quick Strathmerton team. Tocumwal's skills were at their finest for the entire match on Saturday. This team has come together and are peaking at exactly the right time, which will set an exciting match for the A Grade Grand Final.
The club would like to congratulate our A Grade, B Grade and Under 15's for making it to the Big One. We are all so proud of the way you have conducted yourselves over the final series. One more to go and then you can all take a break. It was great to see the support at Jerilderie last Saturday for the girls.
This year has been an amazing year for the club with so much success on and off the courts. Our numbers have been extremely positive and the results we have had in the finals is outstanding. With our A, B, and Under 15's competing in the Grand Final, it shows the depth and dedication our club has. When these girls focus, there is nothing they can't achieve. Congratulations and thank you for all your contributions to the club and to your team.
Congratulations to Jacq-lyn Davis, Millie Ferguson and Leisa Desailly on getting your teams to the Grand Final. We wish you all the best, and at the end of the day, you should all be able to walk away with heads held high whatever the results.
Well a year of mixed results for the mighty Bloods with the Under 17's and Seniors missing out on finals, but for the first time in 15 years our Under 14's played finals and it has been 31 years since our Reserves featured at the business end of the season.
Thank you to our coaches for the year, Bob Bourke, Matt Wooden, Mal Hart, Dane Maxwell and Sean Logie on the fantastic job you have all done this season. We hope all players enjoy their break over the summer and come back raring to go that one better in season 2017.
It has been a successful year for the Bloods this year with two football teams and five netball teams playing finals. Hopefully we can build on this for the 2017 season and have all teams competing.
After today's finals we will be heading back to our clubrooms to hopefully celebrate some premierships. It would be great to see some major support to the girls and our wonderful club.
