Under 14's - The under 14's played a hard game against rivals Finley and they played well, clearing the ball out of the centre with Luke, Billy, Corey and Michael working well together. Josh Allan and Jared Diwell worked well together to stop the flow of Finley. Keep up the good work.
Under 17's - The big grudge match against Finley was played in great spirit, all the boys played hard tough footy which was all I asked of them. Captain Jordan stood tall and played a great game. Best afield was Stephen Patten who played four solid quarters in the centre. Robbie Pyle continued his good form across half back and young Jesse Baldwin played a top game in the back pocket. Will McDonald took some strong grabs across half forward to also feature in the best.
RESERVES - Well done to Rodney Meloury playing his 50th game today. Rod coaches the Under 14's and either plays, umpires, does the running or works the bar depending on the condition of his body. Another full list for coach Roe to choose from with the usual Under 17 boys doubling up again. Perko, Brad Gatty and Bobby working hard early with a goal to Jono. Toc couldn't match Finley in the 2nd quarter and let the game slip. A passionate plea from veteran Bob and a whisper into Watmore's ear saw the tempo increase from the Bloods. Jared, Bobby and Perko down back, Josh & Watdog through the middle and a very energetic Sammy all worked a bit harder. Matty Harper backed up a couple of good weeks with a goal. The Magoos continued to keep the work rate solid but were no match for the Cats. A talk from their self appointed spiritual leader should see a solid finish to the year.
It's fair to say that the reserves were extremely disappointed to see Thomson Snr try to implicate Anthony Snr in the missing score board numbers. It's one thing to have taken the numbers but entirely different to blame a team mate. Bout time to take one for the team Thomson Snr.
Seniors - It was great to have Leeroy and Whitey back in the team after spending the week in the ACT representing NSW and Nathan back into the side after having a week off. Finley had the advantage of a breeze and used the ball well. It took the Bloods a while to settle down with goals to Josh and Whitey. Nathan was winning the ball when brought up field with Timmy, Muggas & Dave working hard down back. Leeroy, Whitey and Rick were winning their fair share of the ball. Whitey was disappointed with the concentration levels early and the Bloods needed to lift. Two centre clearances gave Jordy and Piggy early goals and the contest had evened up. Finley got two back but a strong mark and goal from Shielsy kept the Bloods in the game. Massingham scored a runing goal and his pace was a concern. Toc's good work had been accounted for and Finley again had the upper hand with an 8 goal lead at half time. Whitey again asked the players to work on concentration and discipline as areas to tighten up on. The Bloods needed to find targets and square the contested footy. With the aid of the breeze Finley kicked another 4 goals but the Bloods couldn't find the target. Pica and Timmy found goals in the last but the Bloods were no match for the Cats.
