We would like to thank the coaches of our football teams and wish them a successful year with their respective teams. We would also like to thank our new committee member Chris Jones who has just moved to the area and the club from Melbourne. He has purchased the Tocumwal Laundromat and also to Donovan Tainton who has agreed to help out with the running for the senior matches.
A big thankyou to Chris Jones for taking all the jumpers to the Laundromat to wash and dry every week for the club.
We had a good start to the netball season with the Under 11 girls winning and the A Grade going down by just 2 goals against Numurkah, we may not have got the points but we are back with great defense and really good speed and use of the ball. Let's enjoy the games.
Great effort by the Under 14's for putting in 100% all game. The back line fought hard all match and although the game didn't go too far past our forward line we had good passages of play leading out from the back line. As we have new players this year they all tried hard and we can see potential. So let's all stick together and work hard on the training track as the results will be seen on the day.
Good start to the football season with the Under 17's and seconds very competitive all day, they just struggled with fitness to run out the game, a bit more training and playing together and the wins will come and we will have a very successful year.
The reserves fielded a good side with some senior players on the park. The intensity and endeavour was there with only being 4 golas down at half time. But lack of fitness told in the end. So the old story goes get yourself on the training track. Let's help out our new coach in charge, believe me in the end it will pay dividends. Keep up the good work boys and reward yourselves by training.
As it showed in the seniors on Saturday, the new things coach Roe has been doing at training made for a great spectacle to watch. The movement of the ball and running and handballing looked great and the discipline was excellent. Keep up the good work boys, the club is going to be a force to be reckoned with this year.
Finally welcome everyone to this Good Friday match against Congupna. We hope you all enjoy our great ground and facilities.
GO BLOODS!!
