No notes so we have the presidents report.
Firstly, I would like to thank the clubs that supported TFNC making the move into the Picola League this year. It was fantastic to get your support and advice, and to be made feel welcome. I hope we have many good battles on the field and courts in years to come.
To all our committee, volunteers, sponsors and members: thank you for the past twelve months of support. It is very much appreciated. We wouldn't be as well positioned as we are without you.
When we made the move to Picola League this year, we didn't know how we would compare with the other clubs. We are really where we hoped to be with the juniors being competitive for the first time in an awfully long time, and some of the senior and junior sides playing finals. A couple of sides have a good chance of possibly even sneaking a flag.
The Fourths have just missed out on playing finals after a slow start to the year. The young boys have played really well in the second half of the year. Bobby Bourke needs to be commended on the job he has done with the Fourths, to bring them up to the team they are now, is fantastic.
The Thirds have made finals. I personally hope to see 6 or 7 of the Thirds players progress and grow into senior football next year, and become really good representatives for Tocumwal in the future.
13's and 15's Netball have had really good seasons. Trish Wooden and Amanda Reid have looked after the girls very well this year. Their knowledge of the game and the way they teach the girls has been excellent. Good luck to you girls, I hope you make it all the way to the top. A Grade Netball and Senior Football will need to play really well to knock off the top sides. But come Finals .....you never know! Play hard and play fair and good luck!
