Well here we are again ready to get back to business for a couple of weeks before we have a two week break.
Welcome to the Mathoura Football Netball Club. Best of luck to everyone today, both on the court and oval.
The Junior Bloods adapted to the wet conditions at Picola beautifully. Head over the ball, some great tackling, smart skills and movement of the ball ensured a well-deserved win. Taz and Tommy led the way and were well supported by Harvey, Aden and Connor C, who all reveled in the conditions. Seth played a great game in the ruck and continues to improve each week. Kalle, Braydie and Bailey had good games while Chase showed he is going to be one to watch in the future with a couple of brilliant bits of play. A huge thank you to all the boys that filled in for Picola - great sportsmanship fellas.
Reilly Rennick stepped up and was impressive to watch in the centre. Jess Barker and Mitch Vanderhoek was consistent all game. Everyone worked hard for the whole four quarters this week. A huge thank you to Tyrone Smithers, Baylee Morton, Connor Paganoni and Aden Donnell who come up week after week from the U/14's.
The Magoos played well at Picola in such tough conditions. It was a great team effort. Kenny Chellew and Dylan Flanagan were fantastic in the middle, strongly supported by a great game from Corey Herezo in the back line. It was great having a week off and recharging for Mathoura.
A big congratulations to Scott Kelly who will be playing his 50th reserves game for the Tocumwal Football Netball Club - this is a huge achievement as it has taken quite a few years to reach. Well done Scott, it's great to have you back at the club. Also over at the netball courts congratulations to Jacinta Brunskill on playing her 50th B Grade game today against Mathoura. Jacinta reached her 50th A Grade game last year. Great achievements Jacinta, well done.
