First up I would like to remind people that the Tocumwal Football Netball Club AGM will be held this Wednesday August 15th at the function room. It is an opportunity for people to get involved with the running of our club. All positions will be declared vacant. I see it as an important night for people to get involved and have their say in the direction that the club is looking at for the 2013 season. People have offered plenty of advice throughout the year so here is your chance to be heard.
After tonight's game we have all been invited back to the Leagues Major sponsor - Club Mulwala for some drinks and nibbles from 5.45pm. Please make the effort to support this as they have become a great sponsor for our league which is appreciative.
Last week saw the reunion of some of our club legends of the '91 seniors and fourths sides. It was a great effort by many to make the trip back to reminisce and tell stories of yester year. Things warmed up Friday night at the Terminus Hotel with warm up drinks. A few that were thinking of pulling on the boots the next day soon changed their mind once the Saturday morning horrors kicked in. A few sore heads fronted up for another session Saturday which was a great gathering of football heads. Lunch was a hit and a few stories from John Jones, Moppy Gilmore and Greg Thompson entertained the crowd. The evening heard the stories get even better while the beers were flowing freely.
Well the footy from last week isn't much to report about. To all the players that turn up week in and week out, we take our hat off to you. Not once throughout the year can you guys and girls be knocked for the loyalty and endeavour that has been shown. It's pretty easy when things aren't going well to walk away and leave it for someone else, but to you guys and girls the efforts are second to none. We now only have 2 games left for the season so let's all make an effort to stick together and enjoy each other's company and see the season out.
Our C Res Netballers are set for a spot in the finals, the club needs to throw their weight behind them and show their support. It is an amazing effort. Hard work has seen some rewards and let's make sure we support them.
This year the club went to great efforts to ask sponsors for awards and donations for efforts of good players. We ask that you use these awards before the end of the season and please make sure you show some appreciation for these as we would like to get them again next year.
Under 14's - The height and skill of Finley certainly hurt our young side again last week. Easy marks were dropped and a few heads started to hang as the Mercy Rule was engaged. The word from Rick going into the last quarter was finish off the game, tackle hard and have a crack. It has been a long season boys and with only a few games to go try and find the enthusiasm that you started the season with and really enjoy your last two games. Thanks to the excess players who filled the water and boundary duties again.
Under 17's - Playing a highly skilled group from up the highway we were always going to be up against it. However, to our players credit - we never threw the towel in. Probably the highlight of the match was the "Specky" taken by the "Princess". The improvement of some individual players in Michael, Brad and Jeremy is a very positive attitude to all. Today with the "Grassman" in charge we take on Mulwala. This could well be an opportunity for a full four quarter effort. Good luck to all and we hope you all enjoy the game.
WE HAVE A FEW IMPORTANT DATES COMING UP TO FINISH OFF OUR SEASON:

Anyone that can help in any way please come forward to Bob, Mick or Carl as a lot of help is needed for this day to be a success.
