The young Bloods game against the junior Dees last week was a fantastic effort. Whilst we didn't get the four points, the overall effort and pressure applied to every contest was terrific to watch from the side lines.
Zander, who has been in great form, took his game to another level, rock solid on the last line of defence.
Both Tommy and Drew continued their good recent form. The two Connors, were both good in their own areas. Kade's efforts were terrific as were Hayden and Mitch, who are both showing great improvement from week to week.
Just need to ensure that we keep on playing this style of footy over the next few weeks to get the wins on the board.
Thanks to the Jerilderie Football Club for lending some players this week. It really helps the boys out. Great game from Cam Bowdern and Jesse Barker. Jess Eddy and Mitch Vanderhoek gave 100% in the centre all day.
The Magoos played great for three quarters last week against the Dees. Unfortunately they drifted away in the 2nd and had to work too hard to get in front from there. Kaleb Spicer, Dylan Mark and Aaron Morham were the best for the twos this week. Welcome back to Aaron Morham, it was great to have you back and having the Morham tribe all play together. Good luck next week.
Young gun forward Chris Russell is lamenting his attempted 60 metre goal on Saturday that has seen him possibly requiring foot surgery. Chris admitted he knew it was a risky call but with Dizza's place up for grabs in the seniors he thought it might just pay off. Despite the injury threat Chris has asked team mate OC if he can go down to the back line to play into a bit of form, "except for when OC's got the ball (which seems to be most of the time) I could probably get a few more kicks down there", Chris said.Congratulations to OC who racked up 72 possessions on Saturday which backed up his bag of 82 against Berrigan.
Meanwhile 584 game legend Bob Bourke has been seen looking in the boot bin. It seems a comeback is not far away, particularly now Chris Russell has requested a move to the back line.
