Under 14's - Well Young Bloods you played a good game with some great passages of play. Jesse Barker and Jacob Wallace both played great games in new positions. We just need to man up and play one on one football and work together and the wins will come.
Under 17's - We started well with Corey winning out of the centre and getting the ball forward. Ed battled hard again down back along with Orien and Messy. Thanks to Finley for lending us a few players whom played well. Get to training boys and work hard on the track and it will prove on game day. Thanks also to the fourths boys that backed up again.
Reserves - Toc and Nathalia were both looking to score their first win for the year and general play was fairly even with the Purps having a few move avenues to goal. Mitch, Sniffa and Jossy were all welcomed back with Sniffa scoring The Bloods first goal not only for the day but for the season. Redman, Mitch, Doc, Croc & Cannons were up and about early. The Bloods couldn't contain the Purps and found their opportunity for a win slip away fast. Better players for the day were Mitch, Jossy, Jack Shannon, Redman and a solid double effort from the thirds who doubled up - Nato, Messy, Thommo and Jesse.
Seniors - A warm day greeted two sides evenly matched on form, ladder position and with both sides missing key players not much separated the playing lists. First quarter was an even affair with goals to OC, Loges and Morgs with Coach Nathan, Morgs, Bushrangers Ash & TWG all prominent early.
The Bloods started the second quarter with a quick goal from Crawf but missed opportunities saw Nathalia score goals and have control of general play. Coach Nathan's move to the backline steadied the ship which saw late goals for TWG and two from Monty had The Bloods slightly ahead at half time.
Nathalia started the third quarter better, kicking the first two goals and took control of general play. The Bloods started to pick up the tempo late in the quarter but couldn't get reward on the scoreboard going into the last quarter one goal down. Coach Nathan was solid down back supported by Timmy B and Scotty. Chappy's leads were creative with Bushrangers TWG and Ash having good quarters.
Nathalia again started the quarter well with the first goal before OC scored his second, but the Purps finished the stronger to run out winners.
Congratulations to Corey Poynton for playing his first senior game with the club and to Bryce Meloury who played his 50th U/14's game for the club, well done boys!
Congratulations to Tim Garlick, Chris Patten and Kieran Andrew for representing the Tocumwal Football Netball Club in the MFL U/18's Interleague team last Saturday against the Hampden FL. Unfortunately the boys didn't get to celebrate a win.
