A big thank you to all the volunteers that made the interleague day a success for the club, we had plenty of good reports come from the Riverina and Hume Leagues on what great facilities we have. Many were quite envious of what we have - they were told that our facilities come with a lot of hard work, so remember if you see someone around the club that might need a little hand, stop and give them one. Without our volunteers we wouldn't have the club that we have. Let's all make a concerted effort to get our hands out of our pockets and line up on Saturday to do a little job each. Many hands make light work.
Congratulations to Jarrod Morham (U17's) and Michael O'Riordan (Seniors) who represented the TFNC and did us proud in the PDFNL interleague teams.
Under 14's - Our last game against Yarroweyah was another nailbiter with the boys playing some great footy in patches but unfortunately either lapses of concentration and possibly a bit of fitness enable the opposition to kick a couple of late goals to steal the points. Some terrific positives were the continued improvement of first yearers Jesse Eddy and Daniel Robinett, who were both good when in the ruck. Some of the young fellows made the most of their opportunities as Harvey White stuck some great marks and kicked a nice goal and was well supported by Cody Gow and Zander Griffen, while Tom H, Will H and Mitch all held their own on the day. Stick at it boys and our successes will be all the more rewarding.
Under 17's - A great victory by the boys, they were under the pump all day by a very competitive Yarroweyah outfit. If we are to be successful we must have more numbers on the training track. We have lost Tomas Fitzpatrick through injury for the year, good luck with recovery. Great effort by Troy Poynton when he went in the middle and Kaleb Spicer in the ruck, Jarrod Morham, Billy Govan, Jayden Murphy and Liam Matthews great four quarter efforts.
Reserves - Another hard day at the office for these fellows. Great to see some good numbers rocking up week after week and some wins might follow.
Seniors - Another great win by the boys against Yarroweyah. Today they will have to bring their A game as it is going to be a tough one. Get out there and show the supporters what you are truly capable of. Two weeks off, so we should be as fresh as daisies.
