Under 14's - The boys played a tough game against an old foe that came out on top. Thanks to Finley for the loan of a few extra players. Kaleb Spicer and Troy Poynton played great games moving the ball well also good to see Peter Brentnall getting plenty of the ball. So it is onto our next game against Echuca United at home so good luck boys and let's play well and have fun.
Under 17's - The boys had a really hard day at the office with quite a few missing in action before the first bounce. Thanks must go to Finley for lending us players so we could get a game on the paddock. Well done to the Toc boys that did play and for sticking it out to the very end.
Reserves - The trip to Finley may have been to Darwin as the journey proved too far for some. Good support from Nato, Messy and Corey doubling up, also good to see Deano & Pagas in for their first for the year. Finley started out of the blocks better, putting a lot of work toward Jack, Skinny, Mitch and Cannons. Jordy was solid in the centre but the clearances weren't working. Finley stayed on top but good work from Troy Boyer, Jack, Cannons and Mitch. 3rd and 4th quarters were similar with Troy, Jacob and Cannons our better players with Skinny having the toughest job on the day.
Seniors - The trip to Finley always provides a good days entertainment with both sides evenly matched on paper. Toc scored early through Johnny but 2 x 50m penalities gave Finley two goals and the momentum jagging the next 5 goals with the Bloods wasting opportunities to go into quarter time 4 goals down. The Bloods started the second quarter with shots on goal from Nathan, Balraj and Loges resulting in minor scores with Finley adding to their goals by one before Coach Nathan got a much needed goal. Finley talls were proving difficult to handle and a third 50m down field had Finley out by 7 goals. Pica got one back late but the Bloods were down by six and needed a better second half if we were going to stay in the game. The third started with more vigour and at times spite with the Bloods scoring early but Finley held firm to outscore the Bloods. Coach Nathan called for a more committed effort in the last but Finley had all the answers and ran out comfortable winners.
