Today we see the A Grade girls playing against Numurkah in the Second Semi Final which is shaping up to be a great game of netball. For those that haven't seen a game this year get over to the netball courts and watch the girls in action, they respond really well with lots of support on the side line. Good luck Crowy and girls. The club hope that the Big One is not too far away.
Under 14's - The boys played a great last game against Barooga who had a big side. We managed to keep the boys scoreless in the second quarter and that was a great effort so we finished the season well. A great performance well done boys and thanks to all of our helpers and Rodney for coaching and we look forward to next year.
Under 17's - The boys started off like a house on fire and kicked the first 3 goals. Will McDonald was on fire with the first 2 goals - the check side snap was the highlight of the day. Chris Patten playing at CHB kicked 2 goals himself to be best on ground. Jordan and Choco battled hard all day in the middle as usual to be also in the best players. The boys finished the year off well and it has been a credit to them how they have gone about their footy all year. Thanks everyone who has helped out through the year and supported the 3rds. PICA
Reserves - Last game for the year and the two's had solid numbers, may have had something to do with the coach putting on the corporate box for the day. Good support from Nato, Toddy, Croc and Thommo who all backed up from the Under 17's.
A special mention to our celebrity water carrier Chris who supports the club at both ends of the scale, thanks for running the water against Barooga. Losing Bobby to injury early hurt the Bloods and the club wish Bobby a quick and full recovery so we can see him on the track again next year. Best players for the two's were Haydos who worked hard in the ruck, the two Matty's, Jack Bunnett, Cannons and Jared down back. A sprinkling of brilliance from Watmore and Hardwidge.
Seniors - Barooga with a slight breeze advantage had the best of the first quarter with 7 goals. Goals to Josh, Piggy and Benny Lucas kept the Bloods in touch with a good quarter from Whitey, Josh and Lee.
The Bloods work rate early in the 2nd quarter was good giving them a few shots at goal only to find the points. Barooga however had their radar on and kicked 6.3 for the quarter. The Bloods scored goals through Lee and Jason. Whitey called for the boys to keep the work rate up and finish off on a positive note bit it was Barooga that had the form to play finals. To their credit the Bloods kept working and scored goals through Nathan, Jack & Whitey with solid games from Daiks, Whitey, Lee & Dave.
