First of all a big congratulations to Leeroy on winning back to back O'Dwyer medals. The club is very proud of your efforts this year. A much deserved winner.
NETBALL - To our wonderful netball fraternity - Well done on your efforts to make today's grand final.
You have certainly done yourselves proud with an excellent fitness base, skill and hard passing - we believe you can win today. We know you can do the job in front of you. Self belief is a marvelous tool in sport.
From all at the club - very best wishes today.
The girls went into the game with respect for their opposition but with a fierce determination to join the boys on Saturday in our quest for "The Holy Grail!"
Leah and Lynsey again combined strongly - reaching, rebounding and reacting with tidy precision. Lauren had a great game and her turnovers spurred on our very effective attacking zone. Liz and Katrina have really consolidated in the ring and backed each other in every quarter, shooting confidently in what was a very trying wind. Kristy put in her usual solid performance and ran the court all day supporting the defenders and directing play in the centre and scoring end of the court.
Abby was double teamed most of the game but was still able to be elusive and provided quick and confident feeds into the ring.
Marlee came on with fresh legs to create more great passages of play.
Thanks to Alex, Rosa and Zoe for their assistance courtside and of course to the fantastic supporters of our club.
Crowy was extremely proud of his girls' focused and determined performance that proved they have the ability to take on the challenge.
Girls, remember to enjoy the moment. Let's take the court with no excuses and leave it with no regrets!
The club and community support you wholeheartedly and are proud of your fantastic journey through the final series.
"You Go Girls!!"
FOOTBALL - Today's game will be a reward for a long seasons planning and preparation.
Our opponents today - Moama - have certainly earnt the right to be here also.
With a forward half featuring - Allen, Grigg, Agg, Dunham and Keam - I'm sure the "Bloods" back six will make them earn everything.
The on ball brigade for the "Bloods" will be working hard together to give our key forwards every opportunity to record a winning score.
With intense pressure and willingness for the contest - we are positive about our teams' outcome for today.
To all our players - whether selected or not - you have made a lot of "old timers" smile. We wish you well and hope to see more of the smiling.
Just remember guys - together everyone achieves more!
"GO THE MIGHTY BLOODS!"
A big well done to Stephen Patten who finished sixth in the Under 14's MFL vote count on Sunday, a great effort for one of our juniors. Also well done to Sophie Hore, Marlee Koopman, Leah Nish, Lynsey Cook and Lucas White on polling well in their respective grades.
