Pauline first came to Gormandale in 1974, following her boyfriend Gordon who was playing football at the club. In all Pauline’s Netball playing career spaned 24 seasons and with some time off to have her family, it is estimated she played well in excess of 300 games before retiring at the end of the 1997 season. Pauline won numerous awards on the courts over the years and was Captain of the clubs first B Grade Premiership team in 1979 as well as club B Grade B&F awards in 1982 & 1987, and she finished runner up the League C Grade B&F in 1994. Off the court Pauline served the Netball Club in a number of roles including Club President, Delegate, Official Scorer, and Junior Coach with a U16 premiership in 1993. Pauline also commenced her involvement in the running of the North Gippsland Netball Association in the early 80’s as the Results Secretary, keeping results and ladders for the League. For her service to the Gormandale Netball, Pauline received a Life Membership in 1996. Pauline was also a key person in the running of the clubs ladies committee which mainly involved the home game canteens, and she also was of significant assistance to her husband Gordon in him carrying out the Treasurers role at the Club and looking after the ladies Committee Financials. In 1995 the Football Club recognised Pauline’s contribution in their area and awarded her a Life Member of the Football Club. Pauline is the only person in the clubs history to hold Life Memberships of both the Football Club and the Netball Club. Pauline was inducted into the clubs Hall of Fame in 2017
