The reserves took second spot on the ladder on Saturday with
a hard fought win against Wyche. The demons were no push over and with the rain
around for much of the match, it was no easy game.
The saints started well with a goal to Ricky Wild. The
demons then kicked two goals before Adam Devereux kicked another to equal the
scores at quarter time.
Coach Brock Ezard got the saints going in the second with a
goal of his own but Wyche work the ball well to kick themselves ahead with two
more majors. The margin was then brought back to a dead lock when Jarryd Kell
put through another for the saints after the siren.
The saints and demons could only score one goal each in the
third with Levi Berry giving the saints a four point lead into the last.
Although the kicking seemed bad, the wet weather affected
both teams and only Luke Reyne could convert a major to give the saints the
win.
