1894 - Meeting held 12th of April, to discuss formation of Barooga Football Club in the Murray Border
Football Association. Team colours to be red and white.
First practice match vs. Tocumwal @ Barooga on 2nd of June.
First official match vs. Muckatah @ Muckatah on 16th June. No results recorded.
First results recorded - vs. Tocumwal. Toc. 2.4 to Barooga 0.6
First recorded win vs. Yarroweyah @ Barooga on 19th of July. Barooga 2.5 to Yarro.0.6
1897 - Competition becomes the Federal Football Association. Nickname of the Boomerangs.
July - linked to amalgamation with the Boomanoomana Football Club.
Barooga wins 1st Senior Premiership.
1898 - June: Secretary of Barooga FC informs the FFA that Barooga will not be fielding a side.
1900 - Club reform for FFA season.
1907 - Club seeks admission into the Goulburn Valley Football Association.
1912 - Boomanoomana Rovers FC becomes the clubs name, taking on the colours of maroon and gold.
During the season, dropped from 1st to last due to losing 4 matches on protest due to playing
unregistered players.
1913 - Finished on top and went on to win Premiership vs. Muckatah @ Cobram, 5.2 to 3.6
1914 - 1920 Club disbands due to World War 1
1921 - Club reforms
1922 - Club does not field a side. Most players from Barooga/Boomanoomana go and play for the
Lalaty Football Club, who were affiliated with the Southern Riverine Football Association.
1929 - Club reforms again, playing in the Southern Riverina Football Association, as the Barooga Football Club
1931 - Barooga joins Murray Football League

1936 - Amalgamation talks involving Barooga, Cobram and Muckatah
9th of April at MFL League delegates meeting, admission granted for the United Football Club
(Barooga/Cobram).
Win 2nd XVIII Premiership, vs. Jerilderie
1937 - Part ways with Cobram and seek admission as Barooga FC in the Southern Riverina Football Association
1939 - Disband due to World War II
1944 - Club reformed, playing in competition, which pitted them against personnel from armed services
Jumper mainly maroon with gold mid-riff hoop and cuffs/collar
1946 - Resume affiliation with the Southern Riverina Football Sunday Association. Only NSW teams affiliated.
1947 - Barooga readmitted into MFL. Winless for season
Belted by Nathalia, who set league record at time with biggest winning score, 30.33
Jumper mainly maroon with golden diagonal sash
1948 - Admitted to the Murray Football League Second Eighteen Association
1949 - Played off in MFLSEA Grand Final vs. Finley. Runners up
1950 - Win first Senior Premiership since 1897 (as Barooga)/ 1913 (as Boomanoomana Rovers)
in MFLSEA, vs.Finley. This required a replay as the first was drawn, Barooga 9.7 to Finley 8.13.
In the replay, Barooga prevailed 8.11 to 6.2

1951 - Barooga again play off in MFLSEA Grand Final, vs. Jerilderie @ Berrigan. Runners up, beaten
by 6 points
1952 - Success again for the Hawks, winning the MFLSEA Premiership at Berrigan, defeating
Yarrawonga 8.14 to 8.7
1953 - Another year, another premiership for the Hawks in the MFLSEA, again over
Yarrawonga @ Cobram, 10.18 to 6.7
1955 - Played off in MFLSEA Grand Final. Runners up, beaten by Yarrawonga
1956 - Barooga claim surprise victory in winning the MFLSEA Premiership. Going in underdogs to
a more fancied Deniliquin side the Hawks came away Premiers, 13.13 to 12.10.
Considered one of the Hawks greatest premiership wins ever.
1957 - Barooga come runners up in MFLSEA, being beaten by Yarrawonga @ Tocumwal, 14.13 to 10.11
1958 - Barooga again runners up in MFLSEA, this time at the hands of Berrigan @ Tocumwal, 7.11 to 5.9

1959 - Barooga FC enter the Picola and District Football League.

Win Senior Premiership against Wunghu, 11.13 to 9.18
1960 - 2 from 2 as the Hawks win 2nd PFL premiership in as many seasons, beating Katunga @ Katunga,
15.15 to 14.10
1961 - Secure PFL Premiership hat trick, again at the demise of Wunghu @ Katunga, 11.10 to 8.13

1962 - Junior grades established
1963 - PFL 1st XVIII runners up. Beaten by Yarroweyah
1965 - PFL 1st XVIII runners up. Beaten by Wunghu

1975 - $40 000 clubrooms proposed to be built. Committee comes up with buy a brick campaign.
This would see a percentage of funds needed, raised by selling each of the 8000 bricks for $2 each
1976 - Back on track, Seniors win PFL 1st XVIII Premiership by 2 points, over Katunga, 11.8 to 10.12

1992 - Barooga wins 1st MFL Senior Premiership, beating arch rivals, Cobram.
Going into the match, Cobram were the highly fancied favourites but the Hawks prevailed,
winning 12.15 to 8.11
1993 - Back to back MFL Senior Premierships, defeating Finley, 16.12 to 7.11
1994 - Barooga FC become only the 2nd club in the history of the MFL to win 3 MFL Senior Premierships
in a row. This was achieved through a comprehensive defeat of Deniliquin

1997 - Barooga win 4th MFL Senior premiership in 6 years, defeating Nathalia
