Welcome to Round 12.
Well we survived the last round with a variety of scores and wins. Well done to all players for playing the games for your respective teams in good spirits and fairness. It was also pleasing to see the level of support showed by the Under 10’s in setting up the ground. We need to get that level of support happening right through the club to make the job easier for the small few that do it every week.
Thanks to Paul Woollard’s Under 11 parents for putting on a great dinner last Sunday night. The small crowd enjoyed the spoils and I must say the salads that are coming onto the table by the parents are nothing short of sensational.
Just a quick note to the players who have a great time on the ground during the dinner nights under lights. Please show some consideration for the junior burgers when playing games on the ground. They aren’t as big as the more senior players and although it is all in fun we don’t want anyone getting hurt. Parents I ask you to monitor your child during the night to ensure not only their safety but that they are enjoying themselves.
This week we are away and look forward to someone else’s hospitality. Again I expect we will put on a good display –win lose or draw so enjoy your football and good luck.
Socially we are in the process of organising the end of season dinner which will be held at Harba Restaurant in Mornington on Friday 6 August 2010. This is a great venue and live entertainment has been booked so put the date in the diaries and come along. More details coming via your Social Manager and Tony Dunphy.
Reminder to ALL officials including coaches – disputing the umpire’s decision has very rarely resulted in anything positive. Please ensure everyone controls their emotions and let the umpires do their job. No one is perfect and they are out there doing their best. I really don’t want to have to bring this up again as it is not what we are about.
See you at the footy!!!
