FISH CREEK NETBALL COACHES FOR 2017!
It is with great pleasure and excitement that we announce our coaches for the 2017 season.
A Grade: Abbey Shaw.
It’s great to see Abbey return after surgery from a previous netball knee injury. Abbey has always been a leader on the court and we are excited to have her skill, determination and leadership qualities in the role of A Grade coach. She will be ably assisted by Jess Edgar who became “Hooked” on Fish Creek last year. Jess brings talent and knowledge having played at top netball levels and we look forward to this partnership working well. Abbey has played all of her junior and senior netball at the Creek and has previously coached at junior level. We are looking forward these two young strong women stepping up into senior roles. Well done girls
B and C Grade: Jade Walsh
Jade came across from Tarwin two years ago and has since been heavily involved with our club and we love it! She’s a busy mum of 4 and with John, runs a dairy farm. She’s enthusiastic and dedicated and has helped out with the Under 11’s last year, so much so that she’s keen to coach the youngsters next year. She has put her hand up to coach C and B grades as well, and with the support of all will do a great job. After a nasty knee injury on our crappy courts in 2016 she has dedicated herself to helping from the side lines in several roles. But don’t be surprised if you see her in a dress later on in the year as she has been a wiz at rehabbing her knee. This shows her dedication and commitment and we thank you Jade and look forward to 2017.
17/Under : Kelly Pruyn
You all know her, we know she knows and loves the game, we know she may forget your name. 2017 sees Kelly take on the 17 and Under coach position. She has coached previously at a senior level and we welcome her knowledge, passion, wisdom, no nonsense approach and dedication to fitness. She’s tough and fair and the girls will benefit from coach Kelly.
15/under: Amy Watkins
Amy coached the Under 15’s last year and has the knowhow with these young ones, successfully coaching them to finals. Amy is level headed, passionate, approachable, has great netball knowledge and is a top chick. Affectionately known as Ames, Amos or Moss we welcome and look forward to her guidance in coaching our young ones. Well done Amy.
13/Under: Megan Vuillermin
We welcome back our super coach who, with help, took the Under 13’s to the preliminary last year. We are excited to see Megan continue in the role of steering our young stars positively and we are sure they’ll have another good year under her coaching. Megan does not do things by halves. She is passionate, a great communicator, and is able to engage our young girls in an encouraging way. Thanks Megan for putting yourself in this important role and we wish you all the best.
We thank all the coaches who have put their hands up for the job. We value and appreciate your commitment and time that you give to our club. Good luck to all netballers for 2017. We’ll keep you posted with details of upcoming training etc. The Fish Creek Football/Netball club
