Season 2017
A number of new appointments to the committee including the appointment of Bill Drummond as president has been seen as a very positive move, and it is believed that the club made inroads to getting the club right after a very disappointing and controversial season 2016.
Season 2017 saw a very improved atmosphere around the club, particlurly around the social side of the club, with a number of outstanding social activities organised by the social committee.
While the senior football team continued to struggle as a result of an unusually lage number of injuries sustained to key players, the club still managed to have eight of our eleven teams representing the club in the final series.
There was a very large number of milestone games played in 2017, with the highlights being 400 games to Stacey Blair, Collen Spoulsby and Lucy Walkley playing their 350th games. Three players joined the 200 club, being Bryce Howell, Damien Miles and Devon Svilicic.
Maddy Egan was Runner up In the MCDFNL A Grade Best & Fairest while Colleen Drummond was Runner Up in the MCDFNL C Grade Best & Fairest.
Alistair Meldrum was the Senior Football Best & Fairest and Maddy Egan was the A Grade Netball Best & Fairest.
Season 2017 was definitely a big improvement on the previous season and it is felt that the club is on the right path to success.
