1998 would see the club once again win the senior & reserves premiership, but it also saw the under 16's dropping out of the finals for the first time in 14 years.
A large number of the 1997 Under 16 premiership team would advance to the reserves and senior teams and the experience they gained from playing in these star studded sides should make them players of the future.
Unfortunately a large number of these players are now playing for teams in the Maryborough area.
The club was fortunate to have the services of Michael Heeps for the 1998 season.
Michael came up from Ballarat to join some of his mates, and played for the love of it and helped us to achieve our 3rd premiership in a row.
He played with Lexton back in 1983 when he kicked over 100 goals as a 17 year old kid. 24 in one game.
The reserves also won their 3rd premiership in a row defeating Lexton by 31 points in the Grand Final.
