Morale had never been better as the club prepared for the 1935 season.

With Paddy Ryan again weaving his special brand of magic in front of goals, Avoca powered through the season.
Avoca’s strength was highlighted when seven of its players were selected in the Pyrenees Association side. They Included:

Ted Field – Ruck
Clem Hill – Back Pocket
Eric Stuart – Wing
Harry Crocker – Forward Pocket
At the end of the season, Eric Stuart brought honour to himself, and Avoca, by winning the Pyrenees Association Best & Fairest Award.
After finishing the season on top of the ladder, Avoca was seriously tested by Redbank in the second semi final.

Each Player was presented with a premiership trophy, and President, Andy Astbury received a photograph of the team. This was recently donated back to the club by Rob Astbury and is now part of the memorabilia in the Social Club Rooms.
