1999 was the inaugural season of the Lexton Plains Football League.
This was a merger between the Lexton Football League and the Western Plains Football League.
This was to spell the demise of Avoca's recent success in the L.F.L.
Those people who have won a premiership would know that it is hard to win one, but to win 3 in a row and play in 5 grand finals in 6 years, it is very difficult for people to keep their momentum and focus.
A number of players left the club as they were not willing to travel.
The Avoca Football Club teams all finished in the finals, but were knocked out in the early rounds.
