GUERNSEYS featuring the name of every Mount Pleasant premiership player will be the highlight of the club’s 125th anniversary celebrations on Saturday.
The jumpers will be worn by the Mounts’ seniors in their Round 13 clash with Heathcote in the Heathcote District League.
Mount Pleasant president David McNamara said the jumpers had generated plenty of interest from current and former players.
“There are about 340 names on the front and back (and they are) all premiership players” McNamara said.
“We’ll be running a silent auction on the day and there are a lot of people who are keen to get their hands on one.”
Mount Pleasant Football Club was formed in 1889 and won premierships in the Campaspe Valley League in 1923, 1925, 1926 and 1927.
The club joined the Heathcote District League in 1935.
Mount Pleasant has claimed 23 senior premierships since 1935, 15 in the reserves and one under-16 flag.
The club will hold a celebration ball at Truscott Reserve in Eaglehawk on Saturday night.
