Former Hampden League general manager Michael Harrison has narrowed his focus to just the one club.
In his most recent administrative project, Harrison is the new North Warrnambool Eagles Football Netball Club president.
The 54-year-old vacated the top Hampden league job last season after a five-year tenure.
He was Port Fairy's team manager this year.
But 12 months away from the books was too long for the
Warrnambool businessman.
"I've been in football administration since 1980," he said.
"When I no longer held a position at Hampden I went to Port Fairy with Shane Threlfall, which I thoroughly
enjoyed.
"But in in the last two or three months I've had itchy feet.
"I wanted to get back into an administrative role.
Former Eagles president Peter Doherty expressed he would be stepping down from the role after 13 years at the helm, earlier this year.
North officials, and another unnamed club, came knocking on Harrison's door.
"I had a visit from North Warrnambool and I liked what I heard," he said.
"It is a complete new challenge for me.
"It's a pleasure taking over from Peter and the previous committee.
"The main thing I've seen in previous weeks is the enthusiasm around the club and the enthusiasm to succeed in football and netball.
"If you work together, hopefully you can succeed in both areas.
Harrison was officially installed as president at the club's general meeting on Monday.
He already has big plans for the Bushfield brigade.
"I've got some ideas," he said.
"There will be some changes off and on the field.
"But it's all for the better and it has to be approved by committee members.
Harrison said he was keen to restructure key areas of the club but would not be drawn on the exact detail.
He will put forward a management strategy at a meeting later this year.
"It's a fairly lengthy document and we'll take it one step at a time," he said.
"We'll tick each box as we go through it.
