Facilities.
The standard of the football oval, new netball courts and surrounding facilities are first rate, and are as competitive with any other football/netball club in country Victoria. This is proven by the Kyabram and District Football league now holding its Grand Final at the Mooroopna football oval each year. The surface and wide open spaces of the football oval often make it a great spectacle for supporters.
Social.
The Club holds one of the biggest and most popular AFL Grand Final Breakfasts in country Victoria, with this being the 20th year in operation. The Sir Ian McLennan Centre is often filled with over 350 people attending the popular event every year. As well as the Grand Final Breakfast, the club also holds the KDL Grand Final and GVFNL Morrison Medal Count. Regular social events held by the football club are the Annual Club Ball, Talent Night, Karaoke Night, $5000 draw as well as many other functions. Sponsors & Employment.
The club can boast to be one of the best supported in country Victoria, from its local sponsors. The club looks after its sponsors well in return with sponsor's lunches featuring guest speakers held regularly throughout the year. The large range of sponsors and tradespeople within the club are extremely valuable when assisting young players to find suitable employment. Our sponsors also offer certain privileges to people involved in the club, by offering discounted rates for their goods or services.
Netball.
The netball is a really important part of the club, with A Grade, B Grade, B Reserve and Under 17 sides in the competition. All sides have really improved over the last few seasons, especially this season after the club recruited extremely well. We've had our brand new netball courts available this year with the surface and lights being first class.
Player Gymnasium.
The player's gymnasium has been greatly improved over the past 2-3 years, with a broad range of exercise options now available to players within the club. The gym is being further developed over the summer period, with plans in place to increase the size of the area and to add new cardio machines and other strength training exercises. The club realises weight training is vital in player development and a lot of our pre season training is targeted in this area.
Club Apparel.
The club prides itself on looking professional and the newly designed players warm up tops were really popular amongst the players. The tops also included the club's newly designed logo. As well as these training tops, singlets, tracksuit pants, polo tops and jackets are also available.
