In the second half centrals lifted, with a number of positional changes it seemed to bring out more enthusiasm amongst the team and centrals stepped it up won the game by 4.

With a number of players out this week centrals B grade were a little unsettled in the first quarter, but with a positional change in the second the centre court were able to apply more pressure and create many turn over’s. Centrals defenders restricted Winchelsea’s gaolers while the centre court press was to strong, enabling the goalers to covert the ball. A good win for the team.

Today’s game was a fantastic display of two quality sides playing outstanding netball. Centrals seemed to have the momentum in the first but unfortunately didn’t get the 4 points this week. It was the first time this season that Werribee have been challenged and with two defenders missing from the side it proved difficult for Werribee to regain the lead. Mid way through the third quarter Werribee got within four goals but never really looked like taking the match. Werribee certainly had some impressive passages of play but the Winchelsea defensive pressure was physically to strong. It was a good contest for Werribee going into the finals and while they didn’t come away with the win they will continue to work hard over the next couple of weeks so they are more prepared when they come up against them again.
