Werribee Centrals playing their first game for the season in Werribee played Inverleigh in all grades from A to U 15's.
U15 - Werribee Centrals 8 v. Inverleigh 19
Newly formed Centrals U15 side came against a strong Inverleigh line-up. Taylah Smith (GK) tried hard all game with Janelle Bragg (GD) also working hard in defence. Centrals were outscored every quarter but all players on court gave their best. New recruit this week in Kate Hounsell had a great game and will add some strength to Centrals centre court.

U17- Werribee Centrals 18 v Inverleigh 24
Centrals Under 17's started off slowly making silly mistakes and bad passes letting them down. In the second quarter though Centrals Under 17's lifted their game with Clarrisa Melilli shooting 6 goals for the quarter. Centrals Under 17's played a shocker in the 3rd quarter but seemed to get it back together in the final quarter with Melissa Bragg playing a good game this week in defence. With time running out Centrals Under 17's were unable to catch up.

D Grade - Werribee Centrals 50 v Inverleigh 18
Centrals D Grade came out firing this week on all cylinders with Shanade Tronson & Kelly Schicker both having great games in the goals. Shanade scoring 30 goals for the game. Centrals D Grade defence was strong with Roslyn Clay (WD) playing a great game in the WD position. Centrals Centre court Kelly Cowlishaw, Katherine Travers & Katelyn Genge all put in 100% this week with accurate passing and strong feeds into Centrals goalers.

C Grade - Werribee Centrals 36 v Inverleigh 21
It was a strong combination that took to the court this week with Emma Fitzgerald starring in the goal defence position for Werribee Centrals. Emma took complete control in the goal circle outclassing her opposition. Kyrstie Smith played a good game as well and proved to be useful around the centre court. Rily Dorgans second half in the WD position was excellent putting plenty of defensive pressure on her opposition. Centrals goaling combination of Tania Redpath & Melinda Dobai worked well together and shared the goal scoring this week. Alison Ashley played a strong game in (GK) giving plenty of back-up defence. Centrals C Grade won each quarter and played out the game till the final whistle.

B Grade - Werribee Centrals 39 v Inverleigh 15
With a slow start Centrals B Grade took a while to get it right in the attacking end. Centrals defenders Leigh Stewart & Amanda Wilson proved to be a strong combination backed up by Millie Hudson (WD). Amy Giaini played a good game as well with some good driving down the court. Natalie Ramsdale also proving her worth in the centre court. Amanda Nielson worked hard to get the goaling combination under control scoring some good goals in the first half to help her team get control of the game. The second half saw the Centrals B Grade keep control of the ball with some better passing and some strong leads. Centrals B Grade were able to come away with a strong win.

A Grade - Werribee Centrals 49 v Inverleigh 15
Good Team effort this week with Centrals A Grade focussing on the all-over court pressure which proved to be effective. Danni Stewart was strong in the centre court and Ashlee Depetro circle defence was outstanding. Hailey Sildatke had a great game in GD and also in the WD position. Centrals A Grade took control from the first whistle winning each quarter with ease. Mickayla Ward, Jenni Gardner & Ashya Ward all contributing to the goal scoring in this game. An easy win for Centrals A Grade this week.

Next Saturday Centrals play the strong Corio combinations and the games should be of an excellent standard down at Purnell Road Corio courts.
