After some solid wins and a real game effort against Bannockburn it looked like this game against North Geelong just above Centrals on the ladder would be close and hopefully a win against a side above them was not out of the question. Phil Jones back from injury was the only highlight in the first quarter as he kicked two goals but the run and ball handing of North was already worrying Centrals as they cut through Centrals defense with ease. This was not helped by not being able to win the centre square which has been the sides strong point in recent weeks. Centrals looked intimidated by the sureness of Norths use of the ball as they just could not handle it with the same ease and this was allowing North to win the ball, kick to a better position and put Centrals under pressure all the time. At half time North had a three goal lead so the game was still there to be won but after the main break North just did what they liked and Centrals had no answer as they went on to win by 10 goals.
Final Scores:- Werribee Centrals 12.15 – 87 to North Geelong 22.13 - 145
Goal Kickers:- P Jones 4, D Lawson 3, N Johnson 2, T Nyawela 2 & R Quarrier 1.
Best Players:- D Lawson, D Boyd, T Nyawela, L Cachia, N Johnson & J Sloan.

Plenty of run and endeavour and a big improvement over the first part of the season. Now for the second half and with everyone getting to training and support your teammates and coaches the wins will come.

Best Players:- J Wighton, A Zammitt, C Novenic, L Gibbs, A Foster & M DeLuca.
The Colts played Barwon Heads and were slow to start and took 3 quarters to get going. This side needs to start to play team orientated football as we know they can as it was far too little too late again this week. Even so only going down by 7 points. Make sure you all get to training and make team selection a difficult task.
Final Scores:- Werribee Centrals 4.7 – 31 to Barwon Heads 5.8 – 38
Goal Kickers: J Sutton 2, Z Cachia, C O’Malley 1 each
Best Players: D Chesterman, J Sutton, C Ralph, J Leggerri, B. Taylor & C Linehan-Cunningham.
