Werribee Centrals 59 vs Inverleigh 22
After a close game against East Geelong last week, Centrals focus on todays game was to be "strong as a team on attack, defence, start strong, and a strong finish". With Nicole Stewart unavailable, Mickayla Ward stepped up into the Captains role, Mickayla led the team well, shooting at 100% for half the game. Amanda Wilson and Noni McClure put in outstanding performances, working tirelessly to pressure the Inverleigh Goalers, working in fine combination with Hailey Sildatke to bring the ball through the court. Ashlee Shacklock was also unavilable due to injury, and so Eleanor Tubbs stepped up from the B Grade, working alongside Mickayla Ward, with strong leads up the court and into the goal circle, making life easy for the attackers to feed the ball swiftly into Ellie Tubbs who converted the goals into points. Young Meg Noonan stepped up this week from the B Grade side to make her debut appearance to help out in the centre court, and did a great job. Centrals A Grade are beginning to gel as a team, working hard at training and will continue to focus on their game plan each week.
Best: Mickayla Ward, Noni McClure, Amanda Wilson

Werribee Centrals 31 vs Inverleigh 23
Centrals defenders had another blinder this week. Leigh Stewart played a tight game and got her hands to everything. Backed up by Paras Mackenzie they were very hard to beat. Emily Ashley worked her way into the game and combined well with Renee Di Gioacchino to give Centrals a 3-goal lead at half time. It was the third quarter that won Centrals the game though with the team settling and converting 12 from 15 scoring opportunities. They had some good patches of play but also some very messy patches. Centrals still have a lot to work on but are very happy to walk away with the 4 points.
Goals: Renee Di Gioacchino 21, Ellie Tubbs 7, Emily Ashley 3
Best: Leigh Stewart, Paras Mackenzie and Renee Di Gioacchino

It was a fantastic team effort by all 10 players today. Olivia Burrow led the way in the first quarter with a lot of talk and encouragement in the attack end. Amber smith and Clarissa Melilli continue to dominate their opponents on the scoreboard, especially in the 2nd quarter. Overall the girl’s work ethic is commendable and they are reaping the rewards.
Goals: Clarrissa Melilli 30, Amber Smith 13
Best: Olivia Burrows, Amber Smith, Rebecca Harris

Werribee Centrals 27 vs Inverleigh 29
D Grade knew they were up for a tough game this week and were ready for the challenge. Inverleigh came out strong in the first quarter making it hard for Centrals to hit the lead for the remainder of the game. Megan Cunningham and Diandra Sellers played a tight game in defense creating pressure for Inverleigh to feed to their goalers. Chanelle Pecora stood out in the mid court playing a defensive centre court game and pulling in a number of rebounds. In the end Inverleigh got the better of Werribee Centrals and won by 2 goals. Centrals will keep their heads up high and take away things to work on to improve their game for when they meet them next.
Goals: Clare Atherton 17, Holly Ellul 7, Bonnie Bertone 3
Best: Diandra Sellers, Chanelle Pecora, Claire Atherton.

Werribee Centrals 25 vs Inverleigh 29
Disappointing games today by Centrals who came undone for their first time this season. With a slow start getting them in a fair bit of trouble. On a positive note they can take a lot from the game in terms of what they need to work and improve on. Not taking anything away from Inverleigh who were once again a very strong opponent.
Goals: Clare Atherton 20, Holly Ellul 4, Emily Ashley 1
Best: Clare Atherton, Madison Hayes, Tayla Melilli

Werribee Centrals 13 vs Inverleigh 30
Today, Centrals came up against a very strong Inverleigh side. Centrals struggled to get the ball down the court, with minimal drives to the ball and no options for the defensive side to bring the ball into the goaling ends.
Chloe Case was determined to put her best effort into every position she was placed into, lifting the heads of her teammates and proving she wanted to challenge the Inverleigh side.
Zoe Piccolo had a great game in both defense and attack, going into goals for the first time this season. She made great leads to the ball and helped to lift Centrals score.
Hollie Novinec also had a great game again this week. Improving every week, Hollie made some great drives towards the ball and put pressure over every pass.
Centrals have another tough game coming up in Corio, and need to train extra hard this Thursday to keep their lead on the ladder.
Goals: Jenna Goricanec 5 , Ellie Vincent 3, Zoe Piccolo 3, Chloe Case 2
Best: Chloe Case, Zoe Piccolo, Hollie Novinec
